The REGIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

MR KOMLAN MESSIE is the Regional Executive Director  of WACSOF, (West African Civil Society Forum). WACSOF is the umbrella and main link between the West African civil society and ECOWAS.

MR KOMLAN MESSIE brings over 20 years of experience in strategic management, program management, engineering, entrepreneurship, support to civil society and private sector ecosystems; across Africa and Canada. He is an expert in strategy, management, business transformation, both public and private sectors, with national and international organizations. His experience spans, Information technology, chamber of commerce, professional development, Communications, High Technology industries.

MR KOMLAN MESSIE holds a bachelor of sciences in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic school of Thies (Senegal), MBA degree (from HEC Montreal), M.Sc. (Master of sciences from Polytechnic of Montreal). He is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional).

MR KOMLAN MESSIE is the co-founder and first chairman of REPAF (Réseau des Entrepreneurs et Professionnels Africains / African Business Network). REPAF is a young chamber of commerce, including mostly African business people and professionals of all African countries).

Mr. MESSIE, served as Vice-President and Board of directors at the PMI (Project Management Institute), MBA Association of Québec (AMBAQ).Passionate about a dynamic civil society, entrepreneurship, innovation, people development and leadership promotion, his involvements have been recognized many times. This includes being nominated in 2017 as ‘’laureat batisseur’’ of the RJCCQ (Regroupement des Jeunes Chambres de Commerce du Québec), a federation of 40 young chambers of commerce in Canada.

Under his leadership, he aims to bring WACSOF to another level and help ECOWAS build an ECOWAS of peoples with real impacts in west Africans lives.
