29 MARCH 2025: The West Africa Civil Society Forum (WACSOF) and the West African Child Rights Network (WACHILD, hosted by WACSOF) are proud to announce the mobilization of West African children for the Children CSO Forum. This initiative aims to amplify the voices of children in the region and ensure their participation in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
WACSOF is happy to amplify the process of Empowering Children’s Voices by providing platforms for children to express their views and opinions on issues that concern them.
To hold leaders accountable for their actions, WACSOF is encouraging a Regional Effort to mobilize children from across West Africa to participate in the Children CSO Forum. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote child participation and to ensure that their rights are respected and protected.
In alignment with the ECOWAS CHILD POLICY and the AFRICAN CHARTER ON THE RIGHTS AND WELFARE OF THE CHILD (ACRWC), « We believe that children have the right to participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives. We are committed to creating opportunities for children to express their views and opinions » stated Mr KOMLAN MESSIE, WACSOF Regional Executive Director, talking about WACSOF efforts, during the mobilization phase in the region on protecting Child rights in Africa.
