In August 2021, a key milestone has been reached by WACSOF in the GPPAC project. More than 300 participants were sensitized and trained on the provisions of the ECOWAS mining code (EMMMDA)
The projects has 2 components : capacity building and advocacy. The capacity building involves Media organs, community and religious leaders, government experts, women, youth , men, CSO’s on the provisions of the EMMMDA related to the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders and how the EMMMDA contributes to peace building and conflict prevention
Community representatives of KALANA, NAMPALA in the SIKASSO region of MALI were trained
